SEC ADAPT PARTNERS REALIZED REGIONAL AND LOCAL CLIMATE BASELINE

Life SEC Adapt partners from Istria and Marche Region realized, at municipal level, the Current Climate Baseline Assessment Report.
Each of the 17 Municipalities from Istria and Marche region analyses the recent past climate trends of both mean (Precipitation and Temperature) and extreme values, adopting a core set indices defined by the WMO (World Methereological Organisation). The analysis of climate trend referred from 1961 to 2015, compared to clima normal 1971 – 2000.

The local analysis has been aggregated at Regional level for Marche and Istria in the Regional climate baseline Reports, that offer also a future climate projections until 2100.
For both Marche and Istrian Region, from 1960 the mean annual temperature increase an average 1,3°C  with largest increase in summer; the climate projections shown an average temperature increase estimated between 1.7 and 3.1 °C until 2099.
